Project Description

Fitted Kitchen Stepps, Glasgow

Mr & Mrs Spiers from Stepps near Glasgow wanted to create a large family kitchen that was sociable and practical for all the family to use.

Through the wall from the old kitchen was a playroom for their children which was no longer used so to make use of the full space we knocked through the wall to join both the old kitchen and former playroom together to create a stunning large kitchen for the whole family to enjoy.
Both the old kitchen and playroom had doors and windows leading into the garden so to make the room work better for the Spiers family our kitchen designer suggested the removing the kitchen window and replacing the old back doors with new french doors.
The old playroom also had a door to the garden which was removed and replaced with a full-length window and while keeping the existing window both of which now flood the new room with natural light and help make the kitchen area work as one large space rather than being obvious that two spaces were knocked through into one.
Our Kitchen designer planned the room with a tall bank of kitchen units incorporating cooking and refrigeration making cooking easier by having the ingredients close to the kitchen appliances. The large central kitchen island with sink and hob and seating at one end. Using the same materials as the fitted kitchen our kitchen designer created separate drinks and utility area covered behind furniture which sits comfortably under the stairs and looks part of the kitchen.
We supplied and installed kashmir gloss fitted kitchen along with Silestone Work Surfaces and Karndean wood effect flooring. This project was completed from start to finish within 14days! This including the removal of the wall inserted structural beams, all plasterwork, electrical and plumbing.
